It uses a single inflation chamber and a 25/64 in female NPT air connection for pressurisation. Plumbers and maintenance crews use it for temporary line isolation during pressure testing or repair work.

The plug withstands a maximum back pressure of 37 psi with air and 30 ft of head with water. Its smooth body surface and handle-and-strap tether help maintain a consistent seal during extended test periods.
