Audible Strobe Guard Steel

The Safety Technology International STI-9614 is a surface-mount steel guard designed to protect beacons and sounders from vandalism and physical damage. Its open-back construction allows for indoor or outdoor installation. The unit includes all necessary mounting hardware for a secure fit on flat surfaces.

Suits exposed alarm devices needing impact

Installers securing warning lights or sirens in public areas, schools, or industrial zones will value the durable steel cage. Buyers who need a weatherproof enclosure for the device itself or a guard compatible with non-standard mounting patterns should look at other solutions.

Operating range spans -40 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit

This wide temperature tolerance ensures the guard remains intact and functional in extreme cold and high-heat environments. The specification is the key factor when deciding if the STI-9614 matches the installation climate.

Questions about this item

How does the 9614 model protect a beacon or sounder once it is installed?

The steel guard surrounds the device to shield it from vandalism and accidental impact while still allowing the audible and strobe signals to be seen and heard.

What mounting standard does the surface-mount base follow and what does that limit?

It uses a surface-mount pattern that fastens directly to a flat wall or ceiling, so the guard can only be fitted where a flat mounting surface is available.

What physical clearance is needed for the guard to fit and mount?

The guard measures 7 7/8 inches wide, 7 7/8 inches in diameter and 6 inches deep, so the mounting location must provide at least that footprint and depth.
