Everyday Writing Tool

The Sakura SumoGrip 50280 is a 0.9 mm mechanical pencil built for daily note-taking, sketching and office tasks. Its clear plastic barrel shows the internal mechanism while a triangular rubberised grip wraps the body for comfort. An anti-roll pocket clip keeps the pencil from sliding off angled surfaces.

Light Build and Grip Feel

Weighing 0.02 kilograms or 0.03 pounds, the lightweight barrel floats in the fingers during extended sessions. The soft grip cushion distributes pressure across the triangular profile to reduce fatigue. No thermal, acoustic or power characteristics apply to this non-electronic instrument.

Consistent Line Delivery

The 0.9 mm refillable lead advances with a standard click action and maintains a steady line width through long writing passes. The integrated eraser removes graphite cleanly without tearing paper. Refills are available separately to keep the pencil in service indefinitely.

Questions about this item

How do I load 0.9 mm lead into the Sakura SumoGrip 50280?

Remove the cap, pull out the eraser, drop the 0.9 mm leads into the barrel, replace the eraser and cap, then click the top button to advance.

Which refills does the Sakura SumoGrip 50280 accept for later replacement?

It takes standard 0.9 mm mechanical pencil leads and a standard push-fit eraser refill.

What is the first comfort limit during long writing sessions with the Sakura SumoGrip 50280?

The triangular rubberised grip and 18.7 cm length reduce fatigue, but the 0.9 mm line width may require more pressure for fine detail.
