Samlex America SEC-1250UL 12V 50A 2-bank 3-stage battery charger

Two-bank 12 V charger

The Samlex SEC-1250UL delivers 50 A across two independent battery banks from a single 120 V or 230 V AC source. It handles flooded, AGM and gel-cell lead-acid chemistries without manual intervention. Installers select two- or three-stage profiles via DIP switches to suit stand-alone or DC-UPS configurations.

Continuous full-current output

Switch-mode circuitry maintains the rated 50 A through the absorption and float stages without throttling. The half-power mode cuts peak draw when the AC supply is limited, yet the charger still completes each stage on both banks. Overload and short-circuit protection engage instantly without interrupting the other bank.

Silent convection cooling

No fan is fitted; the aluminium chassis dissipates heat passively during extended charge cycles. Over-temperature protection reduces output rather than shutting down, preserving supply to critical loads. The supplied temperature sensor adjusts voltage automatically, minimising gassing and keeping power draw close to the rated 1250 W maximum.
