Three-bank 24 V charger

The Samlex SEC-2415UL is a fully automatic three-stage battery charger rated at 15 A for 24 V lead-acid systems. It accepts 120 V or 230 V AC input at 50 Hz or 60 Hz and can charge up to three separate battery banks simultaneously. DIP switches select between three-stage and two-stage algorithms for standalone or DC-UPS operation. Overload, short-circuit, over-temperature and reverse-polarity protection are built in.

Suits multi-bank lead-acid systems

Installers maintaining fleets of 24 V flooded, AGM or gel batteries will benefit from the three independent outputs and user-selectable charge profiles. The unit also functions as a DC power supply when required. Buyers needing higher current per bank, lithium-specific charging curves or more than three banks should consider other solutions.

15 A at 24 V across three banks

The 15 A total output at 24 V distributed over three banks is the specification that determines whether this charger matches the battery capacity and recharge-time requirements of the installation.

Questions about this item

Will the internal cooling fan or any other part need routine replacement on the SEC-2415UL?

The charger uses a fanless, high-efficiency design with no user-serviceable parts, so no scheduled component swaps are required.

What limits continuous output when the SEC-2415UL runs at 15 A for long periods?

Over-temperature protection will throttle or shut down the unit if internal heat exceeds safe levels during sustained 15 A operation.

How much noise and heat does the SEC-2415UL produce when charging three banks all day?

It runs silently with no fan; the aluminium chassis dissipates heat passively, so only warm surfaces are noticeable during extended use.
