Eco-Friendly Document Storage

The Samsill 18937 Earth's Choice binder offers a USDA certified biobased solution for organising papers at school, in the office or at home. It is built for users who want a sustainable filing option without sacrificing the durability of a traditional round-ring view binder.

Biodegradable Materials and Construction

The cover contains 25 percent plant-based renewable plastic while the chipboard uses 100 percent recycled content with a minimum of 98 percent post-consumer waste. The binder will not begin to biodegrade until it reaches landfill conditions, where it breaks down in less than three years per ASTM D-6866 testing standards.

Customisable View Overlays and Flat Layout

Clear overlays on the spine, front and back covers let you insert custom title pages for quick identification. Round rings mounted on the back lid allow pages to lie flat during use, reducing wear on punched documents and making the binder easier to handle on a desk or shelf.

Questions about this item

How do I insert the custom cover sheets into the clear overlays on the spine, front and back covers?

Slide each printed sheet into the clear overlay pockets on the spine, front cover and back cover; the most common mistake is loading the spine insert upside down so the text reads sideways when the binder sits on a shelf.

When will the 25% plant-based renewable plastic cover and the 100% recycled chipboard need replacement?

The materials have unlimited shelf life and will not start to biodegrade until disposed of in a landfill, where they break down in less than three years.

How many sheets can the 1" round rings hold before pages stop lying flat?

The 1" round rings mounted on the back lid are designed so pages lay flat; exceeding the rated capacity causes the rings to misalign and pages to bind.
