Samson SAAD100 Adapter for SE50 Headworn Microphone

The Samson SAAD100 Adapter connects a Samson SE50 headworn microphone to equipment that uses a Switchcraft TA3F three-pin input. It accepts the microphone's 2.5 mm connector and is finished in tan. The adapter is built for professionals and enthusiasts who need a reliable link between the SE50 and compatible wireless systems.

Passive Connection With No Power Requirement

Because the adapter is a passive mechanical coupling, it draws no power and adds no active circuitry to the signal path. There are no fans, no electronic noise and no thermal load introduced by the device itself. Normal use simply routes the microphone signal through the TA3F connector without alteration.

Enables SE50 Use With AirLine Synth.

The bundled adapter allows the SE50 microphone to work with Samson AirLine Synth and Concert Series receivers as well as AKG wireless systems that feature a TA3F input. Without this adapter the SE50's 2.5 mm plug cannot connect to those devices, so the accessory directly expands the microphone's system compatibility.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the SE50 headworn microphone to the SAAD100 adapter without bending the 2.5 mm plug?

Align the keyed 2.5 mm connector on the SE50 cable with the adapter socket, push straight in until it clicks, then twist the locking ring clockwise to secure it; forcing it off-axis bends the pins.

Which part of the SAAD100 adapter wears out first and needs replacement?

The 2.5 mm jack and the TA3F locking ring see the most insertions; when the click feels loose or the ring no longer holds, replace the adapter.

What limits how long I can run the SAAD100 on a wireless belt-pack before signal drops?

The adapter itself is passive, so the first limit is the belt-pack battery life; when the pack voltage sags the microphone signal cuts out.
