Broadcast USB/iOS Microphone

The Samson Satellite is a broadcast-quality USB/iOS microphone built for streamers, podcasters and content creators who need high-definition audio capture on Mac, PC, iPhone or iPad. It features dual 16mm condenser capsules with an internal shockmount that isolates the capsules from body vibrations and table rumble. The microphone delivers 24-bit/96kHz resolution with a smooth, flat frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz for accurate vocal warmth and clarity.

Plug-and-Play Connectivity

This microphone plugs directly into your computer or iOS device for immediate plug-and-play operation without requiring an audio interface, external preamp or phantom power supply. A 3.5mm stereo headphone output with level control provides zero-latency direct monitoring so you hear exactly what you are recording in real time. The patented fold-back leg design creates a highly portable package that sets up quickly on any desktop.

Three Selectable Pickup Patterns

Three polar patterns adapt the microphone to different recording scenarios without changing hardware. Cardioid mode isolates a single voice for streaming, solo podcasts or voiceover work. Omnidirectional mode captures sound from all directions for conference calls or round-table discussions. Bidirectional figure-8 mode records two sources facing each other for interviews. It is not suited for users who need XLR connectivity or multi-channel recording beyond a single stereo USB stream.

Questions about this item

How do the dual 16mm condenser capsules handle sustained close-up speaking without distortion?

The internal shockmount isolates the capsules from body vibrations and table rumble, keeping the 20Hz-20kHz response smooth even during long sessions.

Does the microphone body or headphone output become noticeably warm or noisy after hours of streaming?

There are no moving parts or active cooling, so the all-metal body stays cool and silent; monitoring through the 3.5 mm jack adds zero latency.

Which cables or adapters must I already own to connect this to an iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows PC?

The box supplies USB-A and Lightning cables, so the only extra you might need is a USB-C adapter for newer iPad Pro or MacBook models.
