Samson WS5E 5-pack windscreen set

The Samson WS5E pack supplies five foam windscreens sized for popular headset microphones including the Samson QE and QV models. They slip over the capsule to reduce wind noise and plosives during speech capture. The foam construction is built to withstand repeated fitting and removal. Each screen is ready for immediate use on compatible headsets.

Capacity and headroom

Five windscreens give enough spares for multi-mic sessions, lost covers or hygiene rotation between users. They handle typical indoor vocal work and light outdoor breeze without adding noticeable high-frequency loss. In strong wind the thin foam layer reaches its limit and a larger blimp-style shield would be required.

What this replaces

The pack replaces worn, torn or missing original windscreens on Samson QE and QV headsets and similarly sized models. It is worth buying when the existing foam has crumbled, no longer seals the capsule or when a spare set is needed for quick changes. Buyers needing windscreens for large-diaphragm studio mics or boom-mounted shotguns should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will these windscreens fit the Samson QE headset microphone I already own?

Yes, the WS5E 5-pack is designed to fit many popular headset microphones, including the Samson QE and QV models.

How can I confirm the windscreens are reducing wind noise and pops after I put them on?

Record a test clip speaking closely into the microphone outdoors or near a fan; the foam should noticeably suppress wind rush and plosive sounds compared to using the mic bare.

Does the pack contain only the five foam windscreens, or are mounting clips or adapters included?

The package contains five windscreens only; no additional clips, adapters or hardware are supplied.
