SAMSUNG BM1743 MZWMO61THCLF-00AW7 61.44TB enterprise SSD

SKU CH-8JDC-RNGQX

61.44 TB enterprise SSD in a 2.5‑inch U.2 form factor with a PCI Express Gen 4 x4 interface

  • Massive 61.44TB capacity stores huge datasets
  • PCIe Gen 4 x4 interface moves data fast
  • 5-inch U.2 form factor fits dense servers
  • Samsung BM1743 controller manages heavy workloads
  • Brand-new enterprise drive ready for deployment

Capacity & Form Factor

The Samsung BM1743 is a 61.44TB enterprise solid state drive built in a 2.5-inch U.2 form factor. It is designed for data-centre servers that require high-density flash storage in a standard hot-plug bay.

PCIe Gen 4 x4 Interface

The drive connects through a PCI Express Gen 4 x4 link, so throughput is bounded by that electrical interface. Systems limited to Gen 3 or fewer lanes will not reach the drive's rated ceiling, and cable length or backplane topology may further reduce real-world bandwidth.

Upgrade Path

This unit replaces lower-capacity U.2 SSDs or spinning disks in read-intensive arrays where consolidation reduces slot count and power draw. The jump is worthwhile when a single 61.44TB device can displace multiple smaller drives and the host platform already supports Gen 4 signalling.

Questions about this item

Which capacity should I choose for the BM1743 drive?

The BM1743 is offered in a single 61.44TB capacity, so there is no alternative size to select.

What does the 61.44TB figure mean once the drive is installed in a server?

It provides 61.44TB of raw storage for enterprise workloads such as databases, virtualisation or high-throughput logging.

What does the PCI Express Gen.4 x4 interface cap in practice?

The Gen.4 x4 link sets the maximum theoretical bandwidth for the drive, limiting sequential throughput to the lane speed of that generation.
