Everyday smartphone for GSM users

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G ships new and unlocked for GSM networks only, running Android 14 on an Exynos 1330 chipset with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. A 6.7 inch display and a 5000 mAh battery support daily tasks, media streaming and light gaming without needing a CDMA-compatible carrier.

Fits a single-SIM or dual-SIM GSM setup

The handset accepts two nano-SIM cards so personal and work lines share one device, and its 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9 mm frame slips into most pockets and standard cases. No CDMA hardware means it will not activate on Verizon, Sprint or Boost; buyers must confirm their carrier supports the listed 5G bands before purchase.

Steps up from entry models with 3 GB RAM

The 4 GB and 128 GB configuration adds headroom for multitasking and local media compared to baseline handsets, while the triple rear array — 50 MP wide, 5 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro — and 13 MP front camera replace basic single-lens setups. The jump is worth it when extra storage and versatile photography matter more than flagship processing speed.
