Built for daily streaming and social sharing

The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G is an unlocked Android 15 smartphone with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display running at 90 Hz. Its Exynos 1330 octa-core processor pairs 2.4 GHz and 2.0 GHz cores with 8 GB of RAM for responsive multitasking. The 256 GB internal storage plus MicroSDXC expansion suits users who keep large media libraries locally.

Screen space and storage headroom

The 1080x2340 panel at 385 ppi delivers sharp text and vivid colour for HD streaming and casual gaming. With 256 GB onboard you can store dozens of apps, offline playlists and photo bursts without hitting limits. Heavy 4K video editors or users recording hours of 50 MP footage will eventually need the MicroSDXC slot for extra room.

Steps up from 128 GB or 6 GB RAM models

Moving from a 128 GB or 6 GB variant removes the constant storage-management friction and lets background apps stay alive longer. The jump is worth it if you regularly switch between social apps, navigation and music while shooting 50 MP photos. Buyers who need desktop-class DeX mode or flagship-grade zoom lenses should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will my existing nano-SIM work with this dual-SIM 5G phone?

Yes, the Galaxy A17 5G accepts a nano-SIM and an eSIM simultaneously, so your current nano-SIM will fit one slot while the second line uses the embedded SIM.

How can I verify the 90 Hz Super AMOLED panel is running at full refresh after setup?

Open Settings, tap Display, choose Motion smoothness and confirm Adaptive is selected; the screen will then switch up to 90 Hz automatically when content supports it.

Does the box include a charger and case, or do I need to buy them separately?

The retail package contains the handset, a USB-C cable, a SIM ejector pin and documentation; a USB-C power adapter and protective case are not included and must be purchased separately.
