The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is a factory-unlocked smartphone with 128GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM. It runs on a single Nano-SIM or hybrid dual-SIM tray. The 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display shows content at 720 x 1600 pixels. A Prism Dot Gray finish covers the 164.4 x 75.9 x 8.6 mm chassis.

Suits buyers who accept cosmetic wear

This unit is graded C, meaning the body may show dents, cracks, chips or scuffs. The LCD screen can have scratches or dark spots. Buyers who need a pristine exterior or a flawless display should look at a higher-grade device. The phone weighs 193 g and retains full 5G connectivity.

720p Super AMOLED panel drives the visual experience

The 6.6-inch screen delivers a 20:9 aspect ratio at roughly 266 ppi behind Corning Gorilla Glass 3. If a sharper 1080p or higher-resolution panel is required for VR, detailed photo review or small-text work, this display will not meet that need.
