Flagship Unlocked Smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is a factory-unlocked Android 13 smartphone with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display at 1440 x 3088 pixels. It ships with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded. The device supports dual-SIM operation across GSM, CDMA and 5G networks worldwide.

Build Integration and Flexibility

The handset fits a standard smartphone footprint and requires only a USB-C charger and a nano-SIM or eSIM profile to activate. Its unlocked status frees the owner from carrier contracts and allows immediate use on any compatible GSM or CDMA network. The 5000mAh non-removable battery powers the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor through a full day of mixed workloads.

Capacity and Headroom

The 256GB of fixed storage comfortably holds a large media library, offline maps and hundreds of applications without cloud dependency. 8GB of RAM keeps multitasking smooth across split-screen windows and background services. Buyers who need expandable storage or more than 256GB of local space should consider other form factors.

Questions about this item

Does the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 throttle during long gaming sessions?

The 3.36 GHz octa-core processor and 8GB RAM handle sustained loads, while the 5000mAh battery supports extended use without a removable cover.

How hot and loud does the phone get when recording 8K video for an hour?

The vapour-chamber cooling keeps the 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X frame warm but not hot, and there are no moving parts to create noise.

What must I already own to use the dual-SIM 5G and 200 MP camera?

Two active nano-SIM cards on supported 5G bands and a USB-C cable for data transfer are required; the phone ships without a charger.
