Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950U 64GB

This unlocked Android smartphone offers 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM. It features a 5.8-inch Infinity Display with a 2960x1440 resolution. The device includes a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for photos and video calls. It ships new and is compatible with GSM carriers such as AT&T and T-Mobile.

Suits users wanting a compact flagship

The iris scanner, fingerprint sensor and face recognition provide multiple unlock options. The IP68 rating protects against water and dust exposure. Buyers who need a larger screen should consider the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8+ model instead. Those requiring expandable storage or a headphone jack will need to verify compatibility separately.

Simple setup for GSM networks

Insert a compatible nano-SIM from AT&T or T-Mobile and follow the on-screen Android activation steps. The package includes a certified charging cable and a UL-approved power adapter. No headset, SIM card or manual are supplied in the box. The non-removable battery means professional service is required for replacement.

Questions about this item

Does the SM-G950U need a nano-SIM and an AT&T or T-Mobile plan to activate?

Yes — the phone is GSM unlocked for AT&T and T-Mobile networks and requires a compatible nano-SIM and active service plan from one of those carriers.

Will my existing micro-USB chargers and cables work with this 5.8" model?

No — the Galaxy S8 uses USB-C for charging and data, so older micro-USB accessories will not fit without an adapter.

How can I verify the 12MP rear camera and iris scanner are functioning after first boot?

Open the Camera app and confirm it launches in photo mode with a 12MP resolution indicator, then go to Settings > Biometrics and complete the iris enrolment process — successful enrolment proves the scanner is working.
