55-inch 4K hospitality display

The Samsung HCU700 is a 55-inch LED television built for hospitality environments. It delivers 3840 x 2160 resolution at 60 Hz with a 178-degree viewing angle. Crystal UHD processing and Mega Contrast enhance picture quality for guest-room viewing. The set includes integrated 20 W stereo speakers.

Check power, mount and signal sources

Verify the installation site provides a compatible mains supply and a VESA mount rated for the screen size. Confirm the incoming signal matches the built-in ATSC and Clear QAM tuners or plan to use the LAN and Wi-Fi connections. Two USB ports and an Ethernet jack are available for media playback and network integration.

Thermals, noise and power in normal use

The LED backlight runs cool during typical operation and the fanless design keeps noise to a minimum. Two 20 W speakers provide audio without external amplification. Power draw scales with brightness settings and active network features. Ensure adequate ventilation behind the panel for sustained reliability.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the 55-inch HCU700 and what must I buy separately?

The HCU700 includes the 55-inch panel with LED backlight, built-in 2 × 20 W speakers, LAN, Wi-Fi, two USB ports and one Ethernet jack; a wall-mount bracket and any external streaming devices are not included.

How do I choose between the CU7700 and HCU700 versions for a 55-inch screen?

The HCU700 is the hospitality-grade variant with Mega Contrast, 178° viewing angles, ATSC/Clear QAM tuners and the TM2140A chassis, while the CU7700 is the consumer Crystal UHD equivalent.

What does the 60 Hz refresh rate mean for motion on this 3840 × 2160 panel?

The 60 Hz native refresh shows each 4K frame once per second, so fast sports or gaming motion may exhibit more judder than higher-refresh displays.
