Genuine Osram PVIP lamp for Samsung HLS6187W

This replacement lamp ships as a complete housing assembly matched to the Samsung HLS6187W DLP television. It uses an original Osram PVIP bulb rather than a compatible substitute. The unit arrives new and ready to install without additional tools. Buyers who need a lamp for a different model or a bare bulb without the cage should look elsewhere.

Sustained brightness stability

The Osram PVIP light source maintains consistent output across the rated service interval instead of fading quickly after the first few hundred hours. Colour balance remains steady during long viewing sessions such as film marathons or sports events. The lamp is designed to reach the full 240 day warranty period without premature dimming. Installations that run the set continuously for many hours per day will still see reliable performance.

Thermal and power behaviour in daily use

The lamp housing fits the TV’s existing cooling path so fan speeds and acoustic levels stay unchanged from the original installation. Power draw matches the factory specification, avoiding extra strain on the set’s ballast. Operating temperature remains within the design envelope during normal living-room use. No external ventilation upgrades or additional power capacity are required.

Questions about this item

How much power does the HLS6187W lamp draw during all-day operation?

The lamp is an original Osram PVIP module designed for the Samsung HLS6187W DLP TV. Power consumption is determined by the television's ballast and light-engine settings, not by the replacement module itself.

Does the HLS6187W lamp ship with the housing installed so I can fit it without extra parts?

Yes, the unit is supplied as a complete lamp-and-housing assembly matching part number HLS6187W-LAMP. No separate cage, screws or tools are required beyond what the TV uses for its original lamp door.

Will the .9990 kg weight of this lamp affect the balance of my older Samsung HLS6187W chassis?

The mass matches the factory specification for the HLS6187W, so the lamp door latch and internal alignment pins engage exactly as they did with the original module.
