42-Inch OLED Smart TV

The Samsung QN42S90HAEXZA is a 42-inch OLED television built for viewers who want self-illuminating pixels and a 165Hz refresh rate in a compact living-room size. It suits gamers and streamers looking for 4K resolution with AI-enhanced processing and wide viewing angles.

4K 165Hz capacity and limits

The panel delivers a native 3840 x 2160 resolution at up to 165Hz, handling fast motion and HDR10+ content through the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor with 128 neural networks. It runs out of native pixel density for tasks that demand higher than 4K resolution or refresh rates beyond 165Hz.

Screen cleaner and Vision AI bundle

A 6.8oz ammonia-free screen cleaning spray is included to remove dust and fingerprints without damaging the OLED surface. The Vision AI Companion adds Live Translate, Multi AI Agents, Pet & Family Care and Home Insight, turning the TV into a smart-home hub with far-field voice control.

Questions about this item

Will the 42" OLED panel at 165Hz work with an older graphics card that only has HDMI 2.0 ports?

The TV provides four HDMI inputs; an HDMI 2.0 source will display 4K at up to 60Hz, while the full 165Hz refresh rate requires a device that supports higher bandwidth.

How can I confirm the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor is upscaling content to 4K using its 128 neural networks?

Open the picture settings menu and enable 4K AI Upscaling Pro; the on-screen information banner will show the active upscaling mode when playing lower-resolution material.

Does the box include the Simple Blade Adjustable Stand and a screen cleaning kit, or must I buy them separately?

The adjustable stand is packed with the TV; the 6.8oz screen cleaning solution mentioned in the highlights is a separate accessory and is not included.
