Neo QLED 8K TV for living-room viewers

The Samsung QN65QN990FFXZA is a 65-inch Neo QLED television with 8K resolution and a 120Hz panel. It suits viewers who want a large, high-detail screen for movies, streaming and casual gaming in a shared space. The set includes wireless connectivity, five HDMI inputs and a 6.2.4-channel speaker system with Dolby Atmos support.

Not for competitive gamers or multi-room installers

Buyers who need a native refresh rate above 120Hz will not find it here. Households planning to distribute the signal to other rooms over wired video links have no dedicated video outputs. The bundled protection plan is limited to residential use, so commercial installations are not covered.

120Hz native refresh with Motion Xcelerator 240Hz

The panel runs at 120Hz and uses Motion Xcelerator 240Hz processing to smooth fast motion. This single specification decides whether the TV meets a buyer's motion-clarity expectations for sports and gaming.

Questions about this item

What does 7680 × 4320 resolution look like on a 65-inch screen?

The 8K panel delivers extremely fine pixel density, so text, textures and distant detail remain crisp even when sitting close to the 65-inch display.

How does the 120 Hz refresh rate work with the HDMI 2.1 ports?

The five HDMI inputs support 4K at 120 Hz and 8K at 60 Hz, enabling high-frame-rate gaming and smooth motion for sports without exceeding the panel's native 120 Hz limit.

Will the TV fit on a VESA 400 × 300 mount?

Yes, the rear mounting pattern is VESA 400 mm × 300 mm, matching standard heavy-duty brackets; the set measures 56.4 inches wide, 35.1 inches high and 10.5 inches deep with its stand.
