85" Neo QLED 8K Display

The Samsung QN85QN990FFXZA is an 85 inch Neo QLED television built for viewers who want 8K resolution on a large screen. It suits home cinema enthusiasts and gamers seeking high refresh rates and advanced processing. The 2025 model delivers a 16:9 picture with a 120Hz native panel.

8K Resolution and 240Hz Motion

The 7680 × 4320 panel provides full 8K detail with headroom for 8K AI upscaling of lower-resolution sources. Motion Xcelerator 240Hz handles fast sports and gaming motion smoothly. The 6.2.4 speaker configuration with Dolby Atmos covers most rooms without external audio, though dedicated home-theatre systems will still exceed its output.

HDMI 2.1 Bandwidth and Wireless Connectivity

Five HDMI inputs support 8K 120Hz signals with VRR and FreeSync Premium Pro for compatible consoles and PCs. Wireless One Connect reduces cable clutter by transmitting video wirelessly to the display. The VESA 400mm x 300mm pattern allows standard wall mounting, while the 56.4"W x 10.5"D x 35.1"H footprint requires a wide, sturdy surface.

Questions about this item

Can the 85-inch Neo QLED TV connect to my existing AV receiver using its five HDMI inputs?

Yes, the TV provides five HDMI inputs so you can keep your current receiver and other sources plugged in at the same time.

How can I verify the TV is delivering its 120 Hz refresh rate and 7680 × 4320 resolution after setup?

Open the on-screen information display or the connected device’s settings menu; both will report the active signal as 7680 × 4320 at 120 Hz when the panel is running at its maximum capability.
