  • Tampering, motion and defocus alerts plus virtual line detection add smart monitoring
  • Micro SD / SDHC / SDXC slot provides local storage option
  • Hallway view and WiseStream II optimise bandwidth for narrow spaces

Intelligent surveillance camera

The Samsung QNE-8011R is a network security camera built for continuous monitoring. It captures video using MJPEG codec support and handles multiple simultaneous streams. Day and night operation is supported alongside wide dynamic range for balanced exposure in mixed lighting. The unit is new and intended for fixed installation in home or small-business environments.

Analytics and storage focus

This model suits users who need built-in video analytics such as tampering alerts, motion detection, defocus detection and virtual line crossing. Hallway view and WiseStream II support help optimise bandwidth and storage efficiency. A micro SD, SDHC or SDXC slot provides local edge recording without a separate recorder. Buyers who require audio capture, powered pan-tilt-zoom movement or an integrated infrared illuminator should look at other models.

Micro SDXC card slot for edge recording

The single specification that decides fit is the micro SD, SDHC and SDXC memory slot for onboard recording. If your deployment relies on storing footage directly on the camera without a network video recorder, this slot enables that workflow. If you depend on centralised storage only or need a different card format, this camera will not match the requirement.
