48-inch 4K OLED Smart TV

The Samsung S85HA is a 48-inch 4K OLED television built for viewers who want self-lit pixel contrast in a living-room or bedroom setup. It runs the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor and ships with the Tizen smart platform for streaming apps. Buyers who need a smaller screen for a desk or a larger panel for a dedicated home cinema should look elsewhere.

120 Hz native refresh rate

The panel refreshes at 120 Hz, making it the deciding spec for gamers and sports fans who want smooth motion at 4K resolution. Four HDMI inputs support high-frame-rate sources from consoles or PCs. If your workflow demands 144 Hz or variable refresh rates beyond the stated 120 Hz, this model does not meet that requirement.

OLED thermals and 120 Hz operation

OLED technology emits light per pixel without a backlight, so the panel runs cooler than equivalent LED designs during typical viewing. The NQ4 AI Gen2 processor manages brightness dynamically, keeping fan-less operation silent in normal use. Power draw scales with on-screen brightness, peaking during HDR highlights but remaining moderate for everyday content.

Questions about this item

How does the 120 Hz refresh rate behave in everyday viewing?

The 120 Hz panel refreshes twice as fast as a standard 60 Hz set, so motion stays smooth during sport and fast gaming without judder.

What does the four HDMI ports limit in a typical setup?

Four HDMI inputs let you connect a console, streaming stick, soundbar and PC simultaneously without swapping cables.

Will the 300 mm by 200 mm VESA pattern fit my existing wall bracket?

The 300 mm x 200 mm hole spacing matches the common VESA size used by many medium-screen mounts, so most brackets will line up.
