Commercial 46-inch IPS signage panel

The Samsung VM46B-U is a 46 inch commercial display built for continuous indoor signage. It delivers a 1920 x 1080 native resolution on an IPS panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The unit offers 500 cd/m2 brightness and a 1200:1 typical contrast ratio.

Suited for networked indoor installations

This display fits operators who need landscape or portrait mounting via the 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern and remote management over Ethernet or RS232C. It is not for buyers who require 4K resolution, higher contrast ratios, or consumer television tuners and smart-TV apps.

500 cd/m2 brightness drives visibility choice

The 500 cd/m2 output is the key specification that determines suitability for brightly lit indoor environments such as retail windows or atrium corridors. Lower-brightness panels would lose impact under the same ambient light conditions.

Questions about this item

Will the 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern on the VM46B-U match my existing wall mount?

Yes, the display uses a 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern, so any mount with that same hole spacing will fit.

Which cable should I connect first when installing the VM46B-U to avoid a no-signal error?

Connect the video cable (HDMI, DisplayPort or DVI) and the power cord before turning on the display; the unit will then detect the active source automatically.

How often should I clean the IPS panel on the VM46B-U to maintain the 500 cd/m² brightness?

Wipe the screen with a dry microfibre cloth whenever dust is visible; avoid liquids and abrasive pads to protect the anti-glare coating.
