2 TB USB 3.2 Gen 2 Flash Drive

The SanDisk Extreme PRO SDCZ820-2T00-G46 is a 2 TB USB flash drive with a USB-A connector. It delivers up to 1000 MB/s read and 900 MB/s write speeds for users who move large media libraries between laptops and desktops.

Plug-and-play storage expansion

The drive requires an available USB-A port supporting USB 3.2 Gen 2 to reach rated throughput, and works with older USB 2.0 ports at reduced speed. It adds up to 2 TB of capacity without opening the chassis or installing drivers, freeing internal bays for other components.

Silent solid-state operation

With no moving parts the drive runs silently and draws power directly from the USB bus. 128-bit AES hardware encryption and included RescuePRO Deluxe software protect data without adding thermal load to the system.

Questions about this item

At what point does the 1000MB/s read speed stop being sustainable during a long copy?

The drive is rated for up to 1000MB/s read and 900MB/s write; actual sustained throughput will depend on the host controller and file mix.

How hot or loud does the metal casing get when the drive runs at 900MB/s write for hours?

The all-metal body acts as a heatsink; it will become warm to the touch but has no moving parts or fan noise.

Which port must my computer already have to reach the advertised 1000MB/s read?

A USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port is required; older USB 2.0 ports will fall back to much lower speeds.
