Capacity and speed

The SanDisk microSD Express card provides 1 TB of storage with sequential reads up to 880 MB/s and writes up to 800 MB/s. It uses a PCIe Gen 3 NVMe interface to reach speeds roughly 3.5 times faster than UHS-I cards. This makes it suitable for 5.3K video capture today and 8K workflows on future devices.

Build integration

The card fits any device with a microSDXC slot, including Android phones, tablets, action cameras, drones, handheld gaming consoles and laptops. It remains backward compatible with UHS-I hosts, though performance will fall to UHS-I limits. An SD Express card reader is required to achieve the quoted transfer rates when offloading to a computer.
