Z73 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive

The SanDisk Z73 is a 32GB USB 3.0 flash drive with a maximum read speed of 130MB/s. Its compact metal casing measures 0.66 by 4.242 by 1.321 centimetres and includes a key-ring hole for easy carrying. The drive operates reliably between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius.

Upgrade from slower USB 2.0 drives

Moving from a USB 2.0 stick to this USB 3.0 model cuts transfer times for large photo or video libraries. The jump is worth it when you regularly move multi-gigabyte files and your host ports support the faster standard. Included SanDisk SecureAccess software adds password-protected folders for private data.

Suits users needing durable portable storage

This drive fits anyone who wants a rugged metal-bodied stick for documents, media and backups on the go. Buyers who need larger capacities or write speeds above the quoted read figure should look at higher-specification models. The tiny form factor may not suit those who prefer a larger grip.

Questions about this item

How wide is the drive so I know if it will sit beside other ports?

The drive is 1.321 cm wide, so it fits alongside most neighbouring USB sockets without blocking them.

Do I need to run an installer for the SanDisk SecureAccess software or does it launch from the drive?

The software resides on the drive itself; run the executable directly from the flash drive to create the password-protected vault.

Is the metal casing sealed against dust or moisture for long-term pocket carry?

The casing is durable metal but the specifications list no IP rating, so treat it as splash-resistant only and avoid prolonged exposure to dust or liquids.
