Product identity

The Paper Mate InkJoy Gel Pen in model 1951722 is a retractable micro .5 mm pen with blue ink and a matching blue barrel. It is sold as a single dozen and suits offices, reception areas, and front-of-house staff who need reliable everyday writing instruments.

Upgrade considerations

These pens replace standard ballpoints or slower-drying gels that tend to smudge during quick note-taking. The jump is worth it when you want ink that dries 3X faster, a full-length comfort grip for long sessions, and a retractable tip that protects pockets and bags without a separate cap.

Setup checks

Confirm that a .5 mm point size matches the line width your forms or notebooks require. Verify that blue ink complies with any colour-coding policies in your workplace. Ensure the retractable mechanism is preferred over a capped design for your team's workflow.
