Genuine replacement lamp module with 220W UHP bulb and housing, rated for 2000 hours
This lamp module fits the Sanyo PLC-XM5000 projector and uses the POA-LMP137 part number. It ships as a fully assembled bulb and housing for direct installation without extra tools. The unit is supplied new and is built to ISO 9001 quality standards. It is intended for users who need a straightforward replacement for a failed or dimmed original lamp.
The lamp employs a 220 watt UHP bulb that draws a steady 220 watts during normal operation. Heat output is consistent with the rated wattage and is managed by the projector’s own cooling system. Acoustic noise comes from the projector fans rather than the lamp itself. The module adds no additional power circuitry beyond the standard projector ballast.
The manufacturer rates the lamp life at 2000 hours of continuous operation. Output will gradually decline over that period rather than dropping suddenly. The module is designed to maintain stable ignition and voltage throughout the rated span. It does not address users who require a longer-rated lamp or a lower-wattage alternative.

The module arrives fully assembled with bulb and housing; power off the projector, let it cool completely, remove the old lamp cage, insert the new unit until it clicks, then reset the lamp-hour counter in the menu — skipping the reset is the step most people forget.
The lamp is rated for 2,000 hours; once brightness drops or the replacement warning appears, the entire POA-LMP137 module must be replaced — no user-serviceable parts inside.
The 220W UHP bulb generates significant heat, so the projector’s thermal protection will shut the unit down if airflow is restricted or filters are clogged — that thermal limit is reached before the 2,000-hour rating.
