Ultracompact Lavalier for USB-C Devices

The Saramonic LavMicro U3A is an ultracompact clip-on lavalier microphone with a USB-C connector for Android mobile devices and computers. It weighs .7 oz and includes a storage pouch for portable use. The omnidirectional polar pattern captures sound from all directions with a frequency response of 50Hz to 20kHz and sensitivity of -40+/-3dB.

Right-Angle Adapter Relieves Port Strain

A 6.6 foot cable with a reusable strap provides flexible positioning for interviews, vlogs and presentations. The included SR-C2005 right-angle USB-C adapter fits connectors into tight spaces and reduces strain on the device port. This is valuable when a smartphone is mounted on a gimbal or housed in a protective case.

Plug-and-Play Audio Capture

The microphone draws power directly from the USB-C port and requires no batteries or additional software. It suits creators who need immediate, portable recording without an audio interface. Buyers who need XLR connectivity, multi-channel recording or on-microphone gain control should consider a different solution.

Questions about this item

What devices does the USB-C connector on this lavalier microphone fit?

The USB-C connector plugs directly into Android mobile devices and computers with USB-C ports such as MacBook Pro and Chromebook models.

How do you attach the included right-angle adapter to relieve strain on a tight port?

Connect the microphone's USB-C plug into the SR-C2005 right-angle adapter first, then insert the adapter into the device so the cable runs parallel to the chassis instead of bending sharply.

What upkeep does the omnidirectional capsule need over time?

Wipe the capsule grille with a dry soft brush to remove dust, store the mic in the supplied pouch with the cable secured by its reusable strap, and avoid bending the 6.6-foot cable at sharp angles.
