Pocket-Sized Two-Person Audio Kit

The Saramonic Smart V2M is a portable audio interface bundled with two omnidirectional lavalier microphones for direct recording to iPhones, iPads, Android phones, Windows PCs and Mac computers. It draws power from the connected device so no batteries or charging are needed. The all-metal chassis weighs .55 lb and measures 2.56 x 2.56 x 1.06 inches for easy transport.

Plug-In Operation With Locking Connectors

Setup requires selecting the correct output cable — Lightning, USB-C or USB-A — and plugging it into the host device; the interface is then powered automatically. Each lavalier uses a locking 3.5 mm connector to prevent accidental unplugging during use. One microphone includes a 9.8-foot cable and the other a 16.4-foot cable for flexible positioning. Real-time monitoring via the 3.5 mm headphone output depends on the recording application.

Check Device Port And App Compatibility

Verify that your phone, tablet or computer has a matching Lightning, USB-C or USB-A port for the supplied cables. Confirm your chosen recording or streaming software supports external audio input and headphone monitoring through this interface. The system provides a single mixed channel, so it cannot record each microphone to a separate track. Buyers needing multi-track isolation or XLR inputs should consider other solutions.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Smart V2M is recording correctly after connecting it to my phone?

Plug the interface into your iOS or Android device, attach both lavalier mics, and listen through the 3.5mm headphone output while recording; the volume buttons let you adjust monitoring level in real time.

What cables and microphones come in the box, and is anything else required to start recording?

The package includes two omnidirectional lavalier microphones with 9.8-foot and 16.4-foot cables plus three output cables — Lightning, USB-C, and USB-A — so no extra purchases are needed for phone, tablet, or computer use.

Should I choose the single-channel Smart V2M or a different version for two-person interviews?

This model provides one combined channel that mixes both lavalier microphones together, which is ideal for interviews where a single mixed feed is acceptable; if you need separate tracks, a dual-channel system would be required.
