What the SmartMic MTV550 does

The Saramonic SmartMic MTV550 is a large-diaphragm cardioid USB microphone built for spoken word, vocals, acoustic instruments and small ensemble recordings. It targets podcasters, streamers, singers and home-studio creators who need one microphone that adapts to several source types without extra hardware.

Five modes and the USB interface

Five selectable sound modes reshape the EQ curve for speech, vocal performance, acoustic instruments and band recordings so the same capsule suits different sessions. Gain is adjustable from 0 to 36 dB and the signal-to-noise ratio reaches 85 dB, giving clean headroom within the limits of a single USB bus-powered device.

Tabletop stand, headphone jack and cable set

An adjustable multi-angle tabletop stand holds the mic at a convenient height for desk use. A 3.5 mm headphone output allows direct monitoring without an external interface. The box supplies USB-C to USB-A, USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to Lightning cables for computers, Android phones, iPhones and iPads. The vintage-styled metal body feels solid for daily desktop sessions.
