Professional backdrop paper

The SAVAGE Widetone Seamless Background Paper in Pecan #53 is a 86" wide by 36' long roll designed for studio photography and videography. Its 145 gsm weight and 7.6 mil thickness provide a durable, non-reflective surface with a fine-tooth finish that resists tears during frequent use.

Upgrade from narrower rolls

This wide format replaces standard 53" or smaller background paper when you need full-body coverage or large group shots without seams. The jump is worth it for portrait, fashion and product photographers who require a continuous, even backdrop that minimises post-production editing time.

Capacity and handling

The 36' length on a 2.125" core delivers enough paper for many sessions while the acid-free, lignin-free, pH-neutral composition ensures colour accuracy remains consistent. It handles frequent unrolling on standard stands and the protective sleeve aids storage, but the paper will eventually exhaust after heavy commercial use.

Questions about this item

What core diameter does the 86" roll require on a background stand?

The roll fits stands with a 2.125" interior core diameter, so check your stand's core size before mounting.

How do you unroll and secure the 36' length without creasing the 145 gsm paper?

Pull the paper evenly from the 2.125" core, clamp the top edge to the crossbar, and let gravity keep the 7.6 mil sheet flat while you unroll.

How should the Pecan #53 roll be stored to prevent warping of the 86" wide paper?

Keep the roll upright in its protective plastic sleeve; vertical storage stops the 145 gsm paper from developing flat spots or curvature.
