Switched Rack PDU with Remote Outlet Control

The APC by Schneider Electric AP7901B is a switched rack power distribution unit that provides remote on and off control for individual outlets. It supports power cycling to reboot locked equipment and restricts unauthorized use of specific outlets. Power sequencing defines the order in which attached devices start up to avoid circuit overload.

Suited for managed rack environments.

This unit suits administrators who need outlet-level switching, real-time current metering, and user-defined alarms for load monitoring. It is not intended for installations that only require simple power distribution without remote management or monitoring capabilities.

1U form factor with eight 5-20 outlets

The PDU fits a single rack unit and delivers 20 A at 120 V through eight NEMA 5-20 receptacles. It includes a temperature and humidity sensor port and supports secure access via Web, SNMP, CLI, and Telnet interfaces.

How can I verify the AP7901B is monitoring power correctly after installation?

Log into the Web, SNMP, CLI or Telnet interface and check the real-time current metering for each outlet; user-defined alarms will also trigger if loads exceed your set thresholds.
