Industrial Motor Starter

The Schneider Electric LC1D25B7 is a three-pole TeSys Deca contactor built for AC-3 motor control up to 25 amperes at 690 volts. It operates on a 24-volt AC coil and includes one normally open plus one normally closed auxiliary contact with mirror certification. The unit mounts on a standard DIN rail or by screws and accepts screw-clamp terminals for both power and control wiring. It suits panels that need a compact 45-millimetre-wide starter component.

Sustained Duty Behaviour

Rated for continuous operation at up to 60 degrees Celsius and 3600 cycles per hour, the contactor maintains reliable switching without derating in typical industrial environments. Its AC-3 rating of 11 kilowatts at 400 volts reflects steady-state motor running current rather than a brief inrush capability. The mirror-contact auxiliary block provides dependable status feedback for safety circuits during extended run periods.

Upgrade Path

This contactor replaces older 25-amp frame starters that lack mirror-certified auxiliaries or multi-standard certification across IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC and Marine marks. The jump is worthwhile when a panel requires higher short-circuit withstand — up to 85 kiloamperes with a 480-volt 60-ampere breaker or 100 kiloamperes with Class J or CC fuses — or when horsepower ratings of 7.5 at 200-208 volts, 15 at 480 volts and 20 at 600 volts three-phase are needed. It is not for single-phase loads above the listed three-phase ratings or for DC coil applications.
