Thermal overload relay protects motors from 16 to 24 amperes with Class 10A calibration
The Schneider Electric LRD32 overload relay pairs with TeSys D contactors rated from 9 A to 38 A to create a motor starter. It protects motor windings by detecting line overcurrents and signalling the contactor to disconnect power. The unit is supplied new in a transparent housing.
The relay uses a differential thermal mechanism calibrated to Class 10A, with an adjustable trip setting between 16 A and 24 A. Under continuous overload the thermal elements respond progressively rather than in a single burst, allowing the contactor to open before winding damage occurs.
Multi-standard certification covers IEC, UL, CSA, CCC, EAC, ATEX and Marine approvals, indicating suitability for industrial panels and harsh environments. The transparent cover lets technicians verify the trip setting visually, while 1NC/1NO auxiliary contacts integrate directly into control circuits for status feedback.

The relay is a passive thermal device with no moving parts, so it operates silently and its temperature rise stays within IEC Class 10A limits at the 32 A maximum setting.
It is designed to mount directly on Schneider Electric TeSys D contactors rated from 9 A up to 38 A.
Yes, provided the contactor falls within the 9 A to 38 A TeSys D range, the relay will clip on and provide Class 10A overload protection.
