The Schneider Electric mechanical lug accepts a single conductor from 6 AWG up to 300 kcmil in aluminium or stranded copper. A hex-socket head secures the wire without special crimping tools. The aluminium body is rated for 1,000 V and a maximum operating temperature of 131 Degrees F.

Installers needing a single-hole lug

Electricians terminating one large feeder in panelboards, disconnects or junction boxes will find the single-hole design straightforward. Projects that require multi-hole mounting, offset tongues or stud-specific hole patterns should look at a different connector style.

The hex-socket screw applies even pressure across the full conductor cross-section, maintaining low contact resistance during sustained loads. The aluminium body dissipates heat effectively up to the 131 Degrees F rating, so the connection remains stable in long-running circuits.
