Bluetooth 5.4 FM Transmitter with 48W Charging

This Scosche C89 adapter plugs into a vehicle's power socket to add wireless audio streaming and hands-free calling to stereos without built-in Bluetooth. Bluetooth 5.4 delivers faster pairing and a 15 m connection range for stable playback. A 48W USB port charges phones and tablets while the transmitter handles music and calls.

Drivers Who Want Simple Wireless Audio

Commuters with older head units gain Bluetooth streaming, clear calls and fast charging from one compact device. The side-mounted tuning buttons and dedicated bass-boost key keep control easy while driving. Buyers who need a second charging port or a fixed installation kit should look at other solutions.

48W USB Power Output

The single USB port supplies up to 48W for rapid charging of compatible devices during every journey. This figure determines whether the adapter can power your specific phone or tablet at full speed. Check your device's required wattage before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the Bluetooth 5.4 chip run warm or draw enough current to heat up the cabin on long trips?

The transmitter uses Bluetooth 5.4 for a stable 15 m range and 200 % faster pairing; it plugs into a 48 W USB 3.0 port for power and has no internal fan, so heat stays minimal during all-day use.

What must the car already provide for this adapter to function?

A USB 3.0 port capable of delivering 48 W and an FM radio to receive the transmitted audio signal.

Will the C89 interfere with a factory head unit that only has single-DIN dimensions?

The unit measures 1 in x 0.5 in x 1 in and is designed for single-DIN openings, so it fits alongside older head units without blocking controls or displays.
