Everyday Crafting Tape

Scotch Expressions Glitter Tape in Dark Blue is a flexible paper tape designed for general arts and crafts use. The roll measures .59 inches wide by 196 inches long, providing a generous length for multiple projects. It suits hobbyists, students and anyone adding decorative accents to gifts, cards or home decor items. The glitter finish adds a sparkling visual element to flat surfaces.

Replaces Basic Adhesives

This tape upgrades from plain transparent or masking tapes when a decorative, glittering look is desired without adding bulk. The jump is worth it for projects where the adhesive itself is part of the design, such as scrapbook borders, party favours or seasonal decorations. It is not suited for heavy-duty bonding, structural repairs or outdoor applications where weather resistance is required.

Paper Backing Limits

The flexible paper carrier tears easily by hand but lacks the tensile strength of plastic or cloth tapes. Adhesion relies on clean, dry surfaces; oils from fingers can degrade the sticky side before placement. The glitter coating may shed slightly with heavy handling, so the tape works best on low-touch surfaces rather than high-wear areas like book spines or tool handles.

Questions about this item

How wide is the tape roll so I know if it fits my dispenser?

The roll measures .59 inches wide, so check that your dispenser accepts that width before buying.

What surface preparation does the tape need before I apply it?

Clean the surface until it is free of dirt, dust and debris, make sure it is dry, then peel the length you want and press it down.

What should I avoid doing to keep the adhesive working well over time?

Try not to touch the sticky side with your fingers because skin oils can break down the adhesive and reduce its holding power.
