Center-pull towel dispenser

The Scott 9989 is a wall-mount, center-pull towel dispenser finished in smoke-colored plastic. It accepts ScottRoll Control center-pull paper towel rolls and uses a patent-pending dynamic throat to reduce roping and streaming. The design allows one-handed loading for fast refills and ensures guests touch only the towel they take.

High-traffic restrooms needing controlled dispensing

This unit suits facilities that want to limit waste and improve hygiene through single-sheet, perforated towel delivery. It is not suited for locations that prefer folded towels, standard roll towels, or hands-free electronic dispensers.

Compatible with ScottRoll Control center-pull

The dispenser works exclusively with ScottRoll Control center-pull paper towel rolls, which are perforated for one-at-a-time dispensing. Using other towel types will prevent proper feeding and negate the waste-reduction benefits.

Questions about this item

How is the Scott 9989 dispenser mounted, and what step is often missed?

Mount the smoke-colored unit to the wall using the four holes on the 10.3" x 11.9" back plate. The step often missed is fully seating the center-pull roll so the "dynamic throat" engages, otherwise towels stream instead of dispensing one at a time.

What ongoing maintenance does the Scott 9989 require?

Refill with ScottRoll Control Center Pull Paper Towels when the roll runs out; the perforated sheets are designed to prevent roping. The lockable cover and durable plastic shell need only occasional wiping — no internal parts require scheduled replacement.

What is the first limitation you hit during a long, busy restroom period?

The single-roll capacity means the 11.9"-high dispenser must be reloaded more often than larger units. When the roll depletes, dispensing stops until a new ScottRoll Control roll is loaded.
