LaCie d2 Professional 24 TB external drive

The LaCie d2 Professional delivers 24 TB of storage in a 3.5 inch desktop enclosure that has been part of the d2 line since 1997. It connects through USB 3.1 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C for high-bandwidth transfer. The 7200 rpm spindle speed supports sustained throughput for large media files. LaCie Toolkit provides on-demand and scheduled backup plus cross-device file synchronization.

Creative professionals handling RAW footage

This drive suits editors, photographers and designers who need a single high-capacity volume with automated backup and synchronization. It is not suited for buyers who need internal bus speeds or multi-drive RAID redundancy beyond a single volume. It is not suited for users who require a ruggedised portable form factor for field work. It is not suited for workflows that demand hardware encryption certified to a specific standard not mentioned here.

7200 rpm 24 TB USB-C desktop capacity

The 7200 rpm spindle speed combined with 24 TB capacity determines whether this unit can sustain the throughput required for your high-bandwidth creative workload. Verify that your host provides USB 3.1 or USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C to reach the intended transfer rates. The included LaCie Toolkit and Adobe Creative Cloud trial complete the package for immediate production use.
