4 TB SAS enterprise drive

The Seagate EXOS 7E8 ST4000NM0025 is a 3.5 inch internal hard drive with a 4 TB capacity. It spins at 7200 RPM and connects through a 12 Gbps SAS interface. A 128 MB buffer supports sustained data transfers. The unit is supplied in new condition.

Suited for SAS bays; not for hosts lacking SAS

This drive fits servers and storage arrays that provide native SAS connectivity. It is not suitable for systems that only offer other interface types. Buyers needing a different interface should look at alternative models.

12 Gbps SAS interface decides fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 12 Gbps SAS interface. The host backplane or controller must support this exact standard for the drive to function. Verify the interface before purchase.
