Designed for Xbox Series X and S

The Seagate Expansion Card adds 2TB of NVMe storage that plugs directly into the dedicated expansion slot on Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S consoles. It is built in partnership with Xbox to match the internal SSD performance exactly, so games run at the same speed whether they are installed on the internal drive or the card. The card supports Quick Resume, letting players switch between multiple titles in seconds from the expansion storage.

Consistent speed during extended play

Because the card replicates the internal SSD interface, it sustains the same throughput as the console’s built-in storage during long gaming sessions. Load times, texture streaming and level transitions remain identical to internal-drive performance without thermal throttling or speed drops. Games optimised for Xbox Velocity Architecture see no difference in responsiveness when played from the card compared with the internal drive.

Check console compatibility and slot access

Verify you own an Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, as the card works only with those consoles and requires the rear expansion slot to be free. The card measures 1.24" wide, 2.09" deep and 0.31" high, weighing .07 lb, so confirm the slot area is unobstructed. No additional cables, power adapters or software installation are needed — just insert the card and it is recognised immediately.
