What this drive is

The Seagate ST940210A is a 40GB 2.5-inch internal hard drive built for laptop upgrades or replacements. It spins at 5400 RPM with a 2MB cache and connects through a Parallel ATA interface. The unit is supplied as a bare drive in new condition.

Check your laptop first

Verify that your notebook has a 2.5-inch drive bay and a Parallel ATA connector before ordering. Many modern laptops use Serial ATA or M.2 slots instead, so this drive will not fit those systems. Confirm the physical height allowance in your chassis as well.

Suits legacy repairs only

This drive suits technicians restoring older laptops that require a Parallel ATA device. It does not meet the capacity or speed needs of current operating systems or general storage. Buyers wanting more space or a faster interface should look at other options.
