Portable AM/FM radio for daily use

The SEANCHEER 799 is a pocket-sized transistor radio that receives both AM and FM broadcast bands. It runs on two AA batteries and includes a lanyard for carrying on walks, while gardening or during travel. The compact case measures 5.6 in by 2.0 in by 2.7 in and weighs 2.7 oz.

Suits listeners who want simple battery operation

This unit fits anyone who prefers analogue tuning knobs and does not need digital presets, Bluetooth or internet streaming. Buyers who want rechargeable power, a digital display or the ability to store multiple stations should look at a different device.

Tuner covers FM 87108 MHz and AM 5201710 kHz

The radio receives the full FM range from 87108 MHz and the full AM range from 5201710 kHz, so you can tune local news, sport and music stations wherever the signal reaches. This bandwidth is the specification that decides whether the radio matches the stations you want to hear.

Questions about this item

How do I install the batteries in the 799 Mini Radio and what is the common mistake?

Open the battery compartment and insert two AA batteries matching the polarity markings; the step people get wrong is reversing the positive and negative ends, which prevents the radio from turning on.

What maintenance or replacement will the 799 Mini Radio need over time?

The radio runs on two AA batteries, so you will need to replace them when the sound becomes weak or the reception fades; no other user-serviceable parts are inside.

What limit appears first during long listening sessions on the 799 Mini Radio?

Battery life is the first limit; the 3 W speaker draws enough current that two AA cells will exhaust before the tuner or antenna performance degrades.
