Door Security Brackets

The SECURITYMAN DRSECURITYBKT kit supplies two heavy-duty iron brackets that turn a standard 2x4 timber into a door barricade. They are intended for homeowners, renters and property managers who want a mechanical security layer that does not rely on electronics or batteries. The brackets suit both inswinging and outswinging doors on homes, apartments, sheds, garages, barns and gates.

Included Hardware

Six 2.5in wood screws and an instruction manual are bundled so installation can be completed with a drill in minutes. The 2x4 wood plank itself is not included and must be sourced separately from a hardware store. Powder-coated 3.5mm iron resists rust, allowing the same brackets to be used indoors or outdoors without additional treatment.

Mechanical Limits

Each bracket is rated to withstand 700lbs of kick-in force, providing a fixed physical barrier rather than an alarm-based deterrent. The system only functions when a 2x4 is fitted into the U-shaped holders, so the barrier cannot be deployed instantly without the timber in place. No electronic monitoring, remote access or smart-home integration is available.
