Grove Breakout for LinkIt Smart 7688 Duo

This expansion board adds a Grove unified socket to the LinkIt Smart 7688 Duo development platform. It simplifies wiring so that beginners and rapid-prototyping teams can connect sensors and actuators without soldering. The board targets IoT gateway, robotics, smart-multimedia and educational projects.

Build integration

The breakout mounts directly onto the LinkIt Smart 7688 Duo, exposing I2C and UART buses plus reserved original pins. It draws 5.0 V from the USB power port and regulates to 3.3 V for attached modules. No battery is included, so a USB supply must be present. The 135mm x 65mm x 34mm footprint and 45 g weight fit inside compact enclosures.

Capacity and headroom

The board provides one Grove connector per bus, so a single I2C or UART device can be attached at a time. It handles the 3.3 V logic levels of the MT7688 and ATmega32u4 without level-shifting circuitry.
