Panel-mount rotary angle sensor with 10k ohm resistance, 300 degree range and 0-5V analog output for Arduino and Raspberry Pi projects
The Seeed Studio Grove Rotary Angle Sensor is a panel-mount potentiometer that delivers an analog voltage signal proportional to shaft rotation. It connects through a Grove unified socket moved to the rear of the housing for flush mounting. The device operates at 5 V and provides a linear output across its mechanical range.
This sensor suits hobbyists and prototypers who want a simple, plug-and-play rotary control for Arduino or Raspberry Pi platforms. Builders requiring continuous rotation beyond 300 degrees, digital quadrature output, or a different resistance value should look at alternative sensor types.
The shaft rotates through 300 degrees with a linear change in resistance, producing a 0–5 V signal on the D1 pin of the Grove connector. The 10 kΩ track and ±20 % tolerance give predictable voltage division for direct ADC reading. The panel-mount body measures 19 mm by 19 mm by 20 mm and weighs 10 g.

The part list includes only the panel-mount rotary angle sensor itself; a Grove cable and any panel-mounting hardware are not included and must be sourced separately.
It provides a 300-degree angular range with a linear output change and a resistance tolerance of ±20% around the 10k ohm nominal value.
With a 5 V supply the output swings from 0 V to 5 V across the full 300-degree rotation, delivering a linear voltage change proportional to the shaft angle.
