Grove Step Counter BMA456

The Seeed Studio Grove Step Counter BMA456 is a compact triaxial accelerometer module designed for wearable devices and activity tracking. It uses a Bosch BMA456 sensor with a specialised algorithm to deliver reliable step counting and motion detection in a 40x20mm footprint.

Check your host voltage and I2C bus

The module operates at 3.3V or 5V and communicates over I2C using the default address 0x19 or the optional 0x18. Verify that your microcontroller supports one of these voltages and that the I2C bus is not already occupied by another device at the same address.

Plug-and-play sensor for space-constrained builds

The Grove unified socket provides a solder-free connection with the included cable, freeing PCB space and simplifying firmware integration.
