Digital tilt sensor using dual balls to detect angles beyond 10°, rated for 100000 cycles with Grove plug-and-play socket
The Grove Tilt Switch SW-200D is a digital sensor that detects orientation changes using two internal balls. It connects through a standard Grove socket and operates between 3 V and 5.25 V. Makers and students can add tilt detection to Arduino or Raspberry Pi projects without soldering.
This module upgrades simple mechanical tilt switches with a sealed, dustproof housing rated for 100000 cycles. The jump is worth it when you need reliable digital output over a 10° to 170° connect range and 190° to 350° disconnect range without debounce circuitry.
Ideal for automotive prototypes, appliance safety cut-offs, toys and communication gadgets that trigger on tilt. Not for designs needing analog angle measurement, multi-axis data or continuous rotation sensing. Buyers who want proportional output or higher precision should look at something else.

The board measures 130 mm in length and 90 mm in width, giving you the exact footprint for a cut-out.
Mount the module with the gold-pin end C pointing downward; the switch closes when that end drops more than 10° below horizontal.
The SW-200D is rated for 100000 cycles, so plan replacement once the device approaches that count.
