Product Identity

Sega 34791 Total War: ROME II - Hannibal at the Gates is a downloadable strategy DLC published by Sega. It requires the base game Total War: ROME II on Steam to function and is intended for players who already own that title. The content adds a focused campaign map and historical battles set during the Second Punic War. Buyers who do not own the base game cannot use this product.

Platform and Region Constraints

The DLC uses Steam DRM and requires a Steam account for activation and installation. It is blocked from activation in numerous countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, including Russia, China, Japan, Brazil and Mexico. Minimum system requirements call for Windows XP through 8, a 2.6 GHz Intel single-core or 2 GHz dual-core processor, 2 GB RAM, a 512 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics card and 35 GB of hard-drive space. Buyers in blocked regions cannot activate the code regardless of hardware.

Installation and Common Issues

Installation is handled entirely through the Steam client once the online game code is redeemed. The process requires a stable internet connection and sufficient free disk space for the base game plus DLC files. Common problems include activation failures due to regional restrictions, missing base-game ownership and insufficient storage. Ensuring the Steam account region matches an allowed country and verifying base-game installation beforehand avoids most errors.
